About RoHS

The RoHS Regulations ban the putting on the EU (European Market) Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) containing more than the permitted levels of certain hazardous substances.

The RoHS Directive stands for "the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment."

This Directive bans the levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants that can be contained in electronic and electrical equipment.

Even though this is a European regulation, I.D. TEL felt it was important enviromentally and technologically to lead the way and comply to the regulation.
